We’re extremely excited about our C3X Fitness x Hydroxycut Giveaway! So much so, we wanted to give you a little peek behind the curtain into the star of the show, China Renee! China is a Fitness and Beauty entrepreneur and we’re extremely excited to partner with her this month!
How did you come to partner with Hydroxycut?
I have known about Hydroxycut for many years; however, I was personally introduced to Hydroxycut through my social media pages for C3X Fitness.
Where did you start with your fitness journey, and where are you at now?
I originally began my fitness journey after giving birth to my daughter. The pandemic really affected my fitness routine, I was going to the gym five times a week, teaching fitness classes and was halted when my gym shut down. I gained 20 lbs from stress, anxiety, and not working out during the pandemic. I am currently on a weight loss journey to lose those 20 lbs and rebuild my muscle.
What have you been doing during COVID?
During COVID I had to get creative for my workout, I purchased an elliptical machine for my home, I bought more weights and lots of resistance bands to attempt better home workouts.
How has this impacted your business?
I did have to put teaching fitness classes in person off due to COVID. My gym shut down permanently therefore, I had to switch to online classes, which isn’t much fun! I really miss the energy of a live class.
You’re quite knowledgeable in the fitness, well-being, fashion, and beauty industries – which are extremely crowded spaces. How have you broken through and put your own flare and brand on everything to really stand out in the space?
Luckily for me I was already an online personality, so pivoting wasn’t a major transition. It did become a major challenge because now everyone had to be online, causing my industry to be oversaturated with content.
What person has inspired you most to get to where you are today?
I stay inspired by watching fellow finess instructors, and continuing to practice my craft.
It’s Women’s History month! What challenges have you overcome as a female entrepreneur?
As a woman, we are often faced with challenges, and for me it’s a constant struggle between being a mother, a wife, and a business woman all while trying to eat healthy and workout. The pressure to be fit, and look “perfect” online becomes mentally draining, but I am a constant reminder to women all over the world that there is no such thing as a perfect body. Love the woman you are, no matter what size! I am naturally curvy and I have always embraced that and encouraged other women like myself to love those curves.
